I was asked by work to create some vintage style adverts and heres my first attempt, im unsure as always but let me know of things youd change pls 
Copy cat banner ads
They always say imitation is the best compliment well for the first time, my banner designs have been copied by www.shedstore.co.uk. Here’s my banner which featured on a site last week.

Copying the 3 bullet points with matching triangles, product on right which revolves and the way prices have been set out. Well back to the drawing board for me now as i now have to change my style for something new and more creative.
Gif banners
I absolutely hate creating Gif banners because compared to flash there a bore! the only good thing about them is everyone can see them unlike Flash which needs to be downloaded. Here’s a couple of my newest banners created for Walton Garden Buildings.
New clocopops designs
Well I’ve been a busy thing this weekend making new design pieces for my new portfolio www.clocopops.co.uk. The first image I intended to use a water effect but after looking for inspiration realised this was a bit over done and wanted to do something different. I decided upon the idea of electricity but with a 3d twist. Getting the lighting right was probably the most complicated parts of the design. I created this image using Illustrator and photoshop, using illustrators 3d tools for the line work. Here it is the new design
Design number two was based around a robot idea, I love geometry inspired design and also glitches which you notice features in every one of my designs. I tried to bring all these element together in this Illustration. Again this was built in photoshop and illustrator. More of a robotic self portrait, note to self must annoy friends to let me take pictures of them as its lightly strange cutting yourself out.

Video of the day – Whistle by no brain
Heres the music video for sporto kansas song “whistle” the video was made by No Brain a paris based design company who specialise in advertising, ident, tv and music videos. I think its fair to say that there work is outstanding! No brain wanted to create a video with a handmade feel to it, the actors head is in the chest of the character. He wears a helmet on top which is where the heads are attached. The facial expressions are then added in post production. A fantastic video! check it out bellow
New typogrphy design in the making
Last night I gave myself two options after work. Design or film, sadly enough I chose design! as I’m trying to spruce up my portfolio. I started off just looking through a few blogs seeing what was about and what was n at the moment. I decided to see where my own imagination could take me this time and not follow tutorials on how to design this and that. I’ve tried to make something that fits the current trend and you know what i feel I’m very close with it. Still a way to go yet but so far I can see it has potential. After a further hour of photoshopping this is how its starting to look, not sure if I want to add anymore I think I need to stand back from it for a while before i kill it lol.
New website
Its not quite finished as yet but Iam rather excited about how its looking so wanted to get it out there now! I love it and am very pleased with it far better than my crapy flash portfolio which I had previously. Still a few glitches to fix but see what you think to it so far. www.clocopops.co.uk. I wanted to have a very clean, minimal site which drew attention to my work and was in keeping with the 1 page portfolios which are all the rage at the moment. Enjoy
Dirt Dirty – event poster
Another of my little experiments. I wanted to make a grunge style poster with a few modern twists, again using my favourite light tricks to enhance the image. I really need to curb this habbit but for this I don’t mind hehe. See what you think. Iv’e tried to create something slightly different but in my style.
Better world typography
I love how when you start a project you have it in your mind exactly how you expect a piece to look, but somehow it turns out to look… well nothing like it. This is definately what happened with this typography piece. I used various brushes to build up the layers over the type and as a result created this…
